The Seven Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag

Hello, dears! My good friend Aislinn from A Beauty Moment tagged me in The Seven Deadly Sins of Beauty Tag. The questions were so much fun, I hope you enjoy reading them, and to those of you who will be tagged at the end of the post, I hope you decide to participate!

Rules of the tag:
1. Follow and link up the person who tagged you.
2. Answer the questions on Greed, Wrath, Gluttony, Sloth, Pride, Lust, and Envy.
3. Tag a many people as you wish, and be sure to let them know.
4. Let the person who tagged you know by linking up in the comments.

Greed
What is your most expensive beauty item?

Definitely my Guerlain Teracotta Bronzer. This is the first bronzer I ever bought and the most expensive makeup I own -- it cost me $55 at Sephora! But it was the only bronzer I've found that's dark enough for contouring on my NW45-NW50 skin.

Wrath
What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?

Face products in general -- foundations, tinted moisturizers, powders. They cover up my imperfections and make me look amazing in the morning, but many of them make my oily skin grease up by the afternoon. Unfortunately, if I want to use any of the above listed face products, it takes a decent amount of maintenance to keep it looking nice throughout the day.

Gluttony
What brand takes up most of your collection?

Up until recently it was Revlon, but right now the brand that has completely taken over my collection is MAC. I am in love with the quality of their products and the affordability for a high end brand. They're stuff is so easily collectible, I know I'll be getting a lot more than what I now have!

Sloth
What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?

My brows. They look better filled in, but the difference isn't so great that I feel the need to do it every day. If I'm in a hurry, my brows will almost certainly be one step in my beauty routine I decide to skip or just plain forget about.

Pride
What product gives you the most confidence?

Foundation! It's what got me into makeup in the first place. I've always had bad skin, and foundation gave me the confidence to go out on special occasions and feel pretty. It's still at the core of my makeup routine because it evens out my skintone and gives me a clean canvass on which to do everything else.

Lust
Which item is at the top of your beauty wish list?

MAC eyeshadow in Club

 Eye Shadow

I LOVE this eyeshadow color. It's a greenish-taupe with lots of pretty shimmer. It's going to make a great neutral shade and can be the first step in a lot of great smokey eye looks! It's probably the first thing I'll purchase once I start working again.

Envy
Which makeup product/look is great on others but not yourself?

A dewy finish on the skin. Dewy foundations look fine when I first put them on, but look AWFUL later in the day because of my oily/combination skin. I love this look on others, but can't realistically pull it off myself.

So that's it! Those are my Seven Deadly Beauty Sins! I hope you had fun reading them. As always, if you want reviews on any of the products mentioned, don't hesitate to request it in the comments!

Last but not least, here are the lovely bloggers I tag to do this with me!

  1. I haven't seen that eyeshadow before, but it sounds really pretty. Have you ever tried a foundation primer for your oily skin? I have pretty oily/combination skin and the weather here doesn't help, and I find that a primer works really well topped off with a good powder to absorb all the oil. Just a suggestion. :)

    1. Thanks, Aislinn! :) I do use primer and powder, but it just delays the inevitable, lol. I need heavy duty longwear foundation for my makeup to really stay, even with those extra steps. My skin is really finicky and will eat through makeup in a few hours if I'm not careful. I'm thinking of investing in a more expensive primer like Laura Mercier to see if that makes any difference.
