Review: Pantene Relaxed & Natural Dry to Moisturized Shampoo and Conditioner

This has been my HG shampoo and conditioner for at home hair care for awhile now, and I'm surprised it's taken me this long to talk about it!

These products were bought on a whim, and I remember them being cheap -- $10-15 roughly for both of them.  I wasn't expecting much, because I had a friend who advocated all natural hair products who said Pantene wasn't all that great. But it was more affordable than the organic stuff at Sephora, and I needed to get in the habit of washing my hair at home instead of just at the hair salon (the thicker/coarser your hair, the less it needs to be washed).

I love that this is for both relaxed AND natural hair, most shampoos and conditioners are for one or the other. This means that if I ever decide I want to go natural, I won't have to switch up my hair care routine too much.

The shampoo doesn't lather up as well as I would like, and I have to use quite a bit to fully clean my shoulder length, thick hair. But once it's in there, it does do a good job of getting rid of my massive dandruff. The conditioner is my favorite of the two products. It makes my hair SUPER soft and that softness lasts. I can feel it giving back all the moisture that washing can take out of my hair.

This a great product for women of color looking for something basic to maintain their hair at home. It's affordable, cleans and softens our often dry hair, and works for two completely different hair textures, relaxed and natural. What more could you ask for?

What's your favorite shampoo and conditioner?

  1. Oooh this looks good, I don't think I've seen it before unless it's in a different packaging maybe?

    1. Thanks for following! :) I saw this at my local CVS, but it was a long time ago, so it's possible the packaging changed and it's under a new name now.

  2. I use to really like this shampoo when I was straightening my hair (with a straightening iron, never relaxed) but now that I haven't put heat on it in 2 years this product doesn't work for me. Now use Kinky Curly and love it :)

I'm now following you :) Can't wait to read post more in the future!

    1. Nice! If I ever go natural, I'll definitely give that brand a try. I keep saying I'll do it one day, but so far I've been too chicken, lol. Thank you so much for following me, I really appreciate it! I'll be following you as well. :)
