FOTD: Bed of Roses

Happy Mother's Day!!!! :) I am blessed to have an amazing mom who has been a parent, a best friend, and a sister. She's been there for me through horrors neither of us imagined would happen and she's never stopped loving me unconditionally. But while we celebrate mothers on this wonderful day, take a second to remember all the motherless children out there. Maybe they're simply estranged from their mother and don't see them often. Maybe their mother passed away and they never had a chance to share the wonderful memories you have with your mom. Whatever the circumstance, remember the motherless people in your life today, and try to be there for them. While this is a happy occasion for most, I can't help but think of the people for whom this will always be a sad day.

Okay, I'll step off my soapbox now and get back to the business at hand.  I used my two MAC products on the eyes today -- the Constructivist paint pot was used as a base, and then on top of it I used my Rose pigment, which I recently reviewed.

On my lips, I'm wearing my old standby, my MAC Viva Glam V lipstick. The rest of my face is NARS, with their powder foundation in the shade Cadiz and their blush in Taos. I added eyeliner on the upper and lower lashline and a bit of my Maybelline the Falsies Flared mascara, and I was good to go! This a great quick look for spring and summer. Rose has enough depth and dimension that it can stand on its own with a good base underneath. I hope you enjoy this look, and that some of you give it a try!

What's your go to spring look?

  1. Hey honey, love your lipstick and the shading of your make up compliments your skin-tone perfectly, xoxo.
